David Ceder has been a resident of Staten Island for 23 years. The son of a working class family who knows what it means to live from paycheck to paycheck. As a former Vice-President in the textile industry, Assistant Principal in a parochial school, and as someone who has been active in community service for over 20 years.

David also learned the importance of a community and helping other people regardless of whom they might be. He carried this trait that he learned from his parents and for over 20 years he has been helping his community. David understands that every community in his district has it's own wants and needs and should be dealt with on a community to community basis.
